The Commission advises all individuals to maintain peace and order when exercising their electoral rights enshrined in the Maldivian Constitution during the Presidential Election, which will be held on 23 September 2018. The Commission urges all electoral stakeholders and authorities to refrain from committing any action, which may violate any rights, and to respect the rights of others when conducting campaign activities and to maintain a peaceful environment to facilitate a free and fair election.
