Monitoring
In order to protect and promote human rights Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM) carries out the function of human rights monitoring. As such HRCM carries out:
- Monitoring and documentation of the implementation of the rights guaranteed by the constitution of the Maldives, legislations, Conventions that Maldives is party to
- Preparation of Shadow Reports to UN Human Rights Treaties.
- Follow-up and documentation of implementation of recommendations put forward by HRCM and UN Treaty Bodies and carryout constructive dialogue to urge the government to fully implement the recommendations.
