Mr. Mohamed Zahid, the Vice President of the Human Rights Commission of Maldives is participating in the Special Session of 2018 GANHRI Working Group on Ageing and in the 3rd ASEM conference on Global Ageing and Human Rights of Older Persons held from 4th and 5-7th September 2018 in Seoul, Korea. The 2018 GANHRI Working Group on Ageing Special Session serves as a platform for dialogue on how the Working Group will contribute to a better future for the elderly. The session will cover the activities of the participating National Human Rights Institutions that have been carried out to promote and protect the human rights of older persons. The 3rd ASEM Conference on Global Ageing and Human Rights of Older Persons will discuss in-depth on protecting and promoting the human rights of older persons. The conference is being hosted by the National Human Rights Commission of Korea (NHRCK) and is cooperatively organized by the ASEM Global Ageing Center.
