Mr. Ahmed Ameen, the Secretary General of the Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM), has participated in the 23rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Asia Pacific Forum (APF) and the Conference on Equality in the Asia Pacific held from 18-19 and 20-21 September 2018 in Hong Kong. The APF is a forum consisting of the NHRIs from the Asia Pacific Region. The main objective of the forum is to strengthen the NHRIs, provide technical and financial assistance, and work towards promoting and protecting human rights. HRCM is an Associate (B status) member of the APF and became a member of the network in 2007.
