The Commission facilitated a training to its investigators on ‘Investigative
Skills on Human Rights Criminal Violations’ today. The training sessions were conducted
by experts from the US Department of Justice and US Federal Bureau of
Investigations. The trainings developed capacity of investigators on the best
practices on human rights investigations including data collation, interviewing
and multidimensional triangulation, leading to effective persecution.
This training was part of the ongoing bilateral cooperation between the
Commission and the US Department of Justice, to strengthen the institutional
capacity of the Commission, and facilitate exchange of knowledge and experience
in the areas of civil and criminal investigations.
