Upon the request of the People's Majlis, members of the Commission today submitted the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives' (HRCM) Annual Reports for the years 2024 and 2025 to the Human Rights and Gender Committee.

The presentation regarding the annual reports included details on how the commission executed the mandates vested in it by the Constitution of the Republic of Maldives and relevant laws during 2024 and 2025. It also featured discussions presented to the committee regarding the challenges encountered while carrying out these duties within the state and government systems, as well as potential solutions. Furthermore, the committee was briefed on key issues identified by the Commission to deliberate on the overall human rights situation in the Maldives.

A copy of the 2024 and 2025 annual reports—mandated under Act No. 6/2006 (Human Rights Commission Act) to be submitted to the People's Majlis and the President of the Republic of Maldives—has been published on the Commission's website.
