To assess the human rights situation in the Maldives, the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM) conducts research from a human rights perspective to identify key issues requiring national attention. The primary objective of this research is to uncover challenges faced in the respect, protection, and fulfillment of human rights by both the government and the private sector. Based on these findings, the HRCM provides recommendations to relevant authorities, aimed at implementing measures to improve the overall human rights landscape.
