HRCM launches “Vaane” Campaign for schools with a futsal match

The Human Rights Commission of the Maldives launched Vaane campaign for schools with a futsal match between students.

The purpose of conducting Vaane campaign among schools is to promote a culture of gender equality and women empowerment among students and to create awareness on equal rights and opportunities for both genders. The campaign also aims to promote a culture of respect for genders and to build students who support gender equality. The Commission also plans to conduct gender equality session for teachers and parents as part of the campaign. In addition, a gender equality camp between students from 5 schools will also be a part of Vaane campaign.

Vaane campaign will be conducted for three years, targeting 5 schools every year. The Commission is planning to conduct the campaign in Thajuddeen School, Iskandar School, Kalaafaanu School, Aminiya School and Imaaduddin School.
