The Human Rights Commission of the Maldives has conducted a session on the Domestic Violence Act for officers of Maldives Police Service.

The purpose of this session was to raise awareness among the police officers to human rights and the Domestic Violence Act. Further the session also urged police officers to give higher priority to protecting victims of domestic violence.

This session was a part of the Dhoadhi Campaign started by the HRCM in 2013 to raise awareness on the Domestic Violence Act.
